Mayworks Picnic Saturday, September 11
A torrential downpour on May 29 forced the cancellation of the annual Mayworks Picnic but it has now been rescheduled for Saturday, September 11. The location will be Freight House Park, Isabel and Ross. It'll run from noon until 4:00 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help out with this event. If you can help, call 942-0522.
1919 Strike Museum
Manitoba's first museum dedicated to the history of the 1919 Winnipeg General Strike is located on the north side of Broadway between Fort and Garry Streets in the historic streetcar replica "Nellie".
